Andy Reynolds is a long term practitioner of low impact living and runs the family home in the Fens from wind, solar and wood. This one day course is the perfect opportunity to get involved in building a small solar PV system. It will cover both off grid battery and grid connected systems. Discussion and observation will be woven through the practical sessions, with the opportunity at the end of the installation to ask Andy any questions related to your specific application.
The Permaculture Design Course is a practical course which has the potential to significantly and positively change your life. The Inkpot is a permaculture-designed, working farm. Hannah designs and farms for a living so you are getting a hands-on experience at an inspiring site where there is always another permaculture design on the horizon.
This Introduction to Permaculture Design Course is the first weekend of the full Permaculture Design Course. It is a practical course which takes full advantage of being run at this venue. The Inkpot is a permaculture-designed, working farm. Hannah designs and farms for a living so you are getting a hands-on experience at an inspiring site where there is always another permaculture design on the horizon.
If you've ever wanted to inspire others about how Permaculture design can help with many different aspects of living on this planet in a sustainable way, then this is the course for you.
This course is suitable for all abilities including those who have just finished this Permaculture Design course (PDC.)
The course covers:
- tools and techniques for teaching
- facilitating permaculture learning
- the practicalities of convening and running courses

Come to The Inkpot to meet other permaculture folks. Learn about exciting projects that people are involved in, learn from inspiring people applying permaculture to their lives and most of all realise that you are not the only permaculture person out there! There will be workshops on a range of permaculture related topics, a kids area, great food, great location and wonderful people.
On this two day course you will reap and forage all the main ingredients for our shared meals. All foraged food from the Inkpot's abundant land will be brought back to the kichen. We will then work together to create seasonal feasts using various cooking techniques that help maximise the goodness of the food while preserving vibrant flavours. We will look at what is required for a healthy balanced diet; how to use herbs both for flavour and medicinal gain and how to use flowers to enhance our salads.

A weekend for any permaculture diploma apprentices to come and work on their designs. Bring along any design you want to get going with or join in a design project here. We will work together through the process, have time for peer support guilds and a bit of 1:1 time with Hannah.
On this two day course you will reap and forage all the main ingredients for our shared meals. All foraged food from the Inkpot's abundant land will be brought back to the kitchen. We will then work together to preserve the harvest. This will cover such techniques as fermentation (from cider to sauerkraut); drying (apple and pear rings); jams, chutneys, pickling, oils and bottling. There will be lots of sampling along the way.
